Hi Glam Dolls!
We all know how important food is for us, but have you ever thought about feeding your hair!? We all want beautiful thick healthy hair, as some girls are naturally born with it, some of us have to work at it. But have no fear a simple way to pamper your hair is ALMOND OIL! 🙂
What is almond oil? Almond oil is derived from the kernels of an almond and it is a very simple yet effective way to feed your hair. Almond oil contains Vitamin A, B, D, and E and because it’s 100% natural, there are no side effects. This oil is really wonderful on treating dry hair and helps make it strong, shiny, and soft. You will be amazed at how your hair will really soak up all this goodness! One of the main benefits of this hair oil is it helps prevent hair fall out. One of the main causes of hair fall out is due to a magnesium deficiency. And guess which oil is super rich in magnesium?!? yes…ALMOND OIL 🙂 You will definitely see a major improvement in the quality of your hair!
DIY at home: Take a small amount of almond oil in a bowl and warm it up in the microwave. Section your hair and take a cotton ball and soak that into the bowl with oil. Then take the cotton ball and use that to massage in the oil into your roots. Once you have really rubbed in all the oil all over your scalp, massage your head with your hands to really let the oils soak in. After massaging, microwave a wet towel for 15 seconds (be careful that it’s not too hot) and wrap your hair with it…..the steam in the towel will open up all your hair follicles and really allow the oil to absorb into your hair. Leave this in for at least an hour (def the longer the better, or overnight if possible) to really allow your hair to get the full benefits from the almond oil. When you are ready to wash your hair, make sure to give yourself a double wash of shampoo to make sure there isn’t any oil residue left over once your hair is dry.
Because this is so simple yet so beneficial for your hair, I try to do it about once a week.
Split Ends?!? Yes! This oil will help with split ends!! A mixture of almond, castor and olive oil in equal proportions massaged into the hair will get rid of split ends. Apply this once or twice a week to notice a change in just a few weeks.
I purchased this oil from my local indian grocery store but I believe you can also find it at whole foods!
I hope you guys try this out, let me know what you think!!
